Black Profiles

A series of 7 exciting books suitable for age range 9-12. This series has been devised by TAMARIND to make role models of success directly accessible to ALL children at school and at home.

These books will bring the early reader close to Black achievers, in a direct and sensitive way. The role models in these profiles are not the lucky few superior beings, but are accessible and ordinary people. The reader will be able to identify with many of the experiences of the protagonists.

Malorie Blackman - Author

Malorie Blackman is a highly successful children's author with fifty books to her name.

She began by studying business, but moved on to computing. By her early thirties she had been able to realise her dream of being a full-time writer of both books and TV dramas.
